The climate activists who let down car tyres in Brighton, London, and Glasgow, leave notes justifying their actions by branding the vehicles as ‘violating the climate’.
These insufferable people believe they are entitled to tell people what vehicles they can drive, or not. I sincerely hope they will have their collars felt by the local constabulary and be fined to compensate the owners for the inconvenience and loss of earnings.
People missed long awaited and urgent appointments and work commitments, and some were unable to get their kids to school.
These so called ‘activists’ have no idea why owners have these vehicles. I know people in Brighton who own SUVs for work, and because they are on call at night, in all weathers, to drive north carrying vital lifesaving blood, or colostrum for new-born babies. If their tyres are flat, infants and the sick who wait for these essential products, may not survive. I don’t suppose these idiots think about the consequences of their actions.

China is apparently ramping up production of oil, gas, and coal, to fill the void as Europe and others block supplies from Russia. Is this a case of out of the frying pan and into the fire? China is as dodgy and unreliable as Russia, so surely the West must wake up to the fact that their aim is to gain power and control.
Last week was ‘International Women’s Day’, so when is ‘International Men’s Day’? It seems to me that British men are increasingly being side-lined, particular those who are ‘Anglo Saxon and white’.
I have done a bit of research by watching TV and listening more closely to Radio 4. My aim to identify the proportion of men v women in a variety of programmes: in particular current affairs, and advertisements. I and others have noticed the proportion of interviewers and interviewees is becoming heavily dominated by women. Where have all the men gone?
I also noted that almost all advertisements which feature family groups, are of mixed race, some all black. Many show same sex couples who in my parents words ‘are carrying on’. Is this really necessary to sell products?
Currently 6.3% of the population are black but one would be forgiven for presuming that white people and heterosexuals married couples are today in the minority.
The UK is renowned for fairness, openness and equality, and that surely includes men and women, black and white.
Farmers are now asked to re-consider committing land to re-wilding, as global food shortages are certain due to Putin’s War. It has taken war to bring people to their senses and realise we have a responsibility to feed the nation and supply safe and reliable British fuel, power and energy.
Farmers must be encouraged to produce grain, dairy products, meat, fruit, and vegetables. And British companies to extract oil, gas, coal and build nuclear power plants to offset the current unreliability of wind and solar.
Climate change is an important issue, but Boris now recognises the Net Zero timeline is flawed, so perhaps common sense will prevail.
Dr Tim Leunig, the government adviser, wrote in 2020, ‘the UK doesn’t need farmers or fishermen’; I hope he has now received his P45.
