These are the same people who consume products which have contributed to air pollution, and purchase goods produced from palm oil grown through deforestation. Their plastic waste is clogging up rivers and oceans, and their lives largely depend upon polluting energy in various forms.
There is a concerted effort to make popular the notion that meat and dairy consumption should be made illegal, or at best those who partake shamed. Michael Mansfield QC recently suggested that future meat eaters should be locked up!
The human race has been carnivores for millennia and I doubt mankind would have survived, let alone emerged fit and healthy, without the skills of hunters and gatherers, the pioneers of today’s farmers. Without farmers populations would not have thrived or been supplied with sufficient, consistent and healthy diets.
We are all aware of the life threatening health problems experienced by those living on poor diets in areas where there is famine and humanitarian deprivation. These people existing on rations largely devoid of animal protein, are more likely to face disease and malnourishment.
Over centuries the domestication of livestock on efficiently run farms around the world has improved health and welfare. Not only supporting populations but also in most cases, taking care of and improving the environment as is the case today.
It is somewhat ironic that Boris who is doing his best to honour the result of the Referendum which resulted in a significant majority voting to leave with or without a deal, may have to fall back on EU legislation to achieve that goal.
Currently EU member countries are compelled to priorities EU law over our sovereign legislation. No doubt such as Acts which have recently been rushed through Parliament by the Remain lobby. Another compelling reason to gain our independence from the European Union.
The vultures are circling over Downing Street in the form of Letwin, Rudd, Grieve, Bercow, Hammond, Starmer, Swinson and many other Remainers. They are betraying the significant majority of the electorate by attempting to prevent the Prime Minister from following their instructions at the Referendum and two General Elections.
The revelations at the weekend that intelligence has alerted No 10 that significant Remainers have been colluding with foreign governments and Brussels is shocking but unsurprising. EU bureaucrats helped to draft the Surrender/Benn legislation, and are apparently currently drawing up plans for a second Act which would allow Remain Speaker Bercow to bypass the Prime Minister, and directly ask Brussels for a further delay expressly against the will of the people, if a deal has not been agreed by 19 October. A move most probably unconstitutional.
Quite frankly such collaboration with foreign powers, which goes against the best interest of the UK, is an act of sabotage. No wonder EU leaders are standing their ground. No doubt they have been reassured by the cabal of Remain MPs that they hope their efforts to smear Boris will prove successful.
The pathetic stories which are being dredged up at regular intervals by some sad individuals who clearly have been influenced by the Remain lobby, and the blatant misinterpretation of his words so enthusiastically headlined by the BBC and media, are desperate attempts to discredit the one man who can deliver Brexit.
The public are on the whole unimpressed and if anything this blatant and cavalier endeavor to prevent the UK leaving the EU is having the opposite effect. The public are falling in behind Boris and are increasingly certain that he will keep his word and deliver Independence Day on 30 October.
